Melinda has enjoyed drawing and painting since childhood. For over twenty years, Melinda used her talent for fine jewelry design. The year 1986 sparked the beginning of Melinda's pursuit of fine art as a profession. She immediately focused on watercolor as her main medium. The "Route 66" series features vintage motorcycles with nostalgic images from U.S. Route 66. The background images bring out many historical landmarks and will appeal not only to the motorcycle enthusiast, but the Route 66 enthusiast as well. Anyone who appreciates the classic beauty of vintage motorcycles needs to add these to their collection. Her Northwest heritage as well as her personality comes out in all of her artwork. Her art is currently shown in galleries throughout the west. Melinda's work has been described as strong and refreshing, but also contemplative, with a bold use of color and movement.
